We are extremely proud of this new range of aluminium hulled tenders (from 2.4m up to 4.8m) which within a year has become the undoubted leader within this market, even taking off in Europe. How do you use your Ribeye: Trips along the coast and to Plymouth. Also up the Tamar.
Thoughts on Ribeye: The new 600 is a considerable improvement on my old 500. Firstly there is substantially more power. The pick up on the Yamaha 115hp is astonishing when compared to my old 60hp. The extra 1 metre of hull length also means the RIB cuts though the waves far better. Finally the quality of the finish is notably better than the older model. All in all I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Forthcoming events – Southampton/Dartmouth Regatta

Dartmouth Regatta is on its way and we shall be cheering on our three Ribeye rowing teams and wish them all the success of previous years!  We shall have our usual pitch on Coronation Park where our Ribeyes will be on show and will be loaning a Ribeye to the committee for the rowing commentary.  If you haven’t been to Dartmouth Regatta, it’s definitely worth a visit with amazing displays on the water, in the skies and at the bar!

Southampton Boat Show will be here in no time!  We shall have a strong presence as per usual.  You can find us at Stand E058 in Speedboat Alley showing selected models from T, A and S series.  We will also have 3 berths from which it will be possible to have demonstration ride on S785, S650 and A600.  We highly recommend you let us know if you would like to demo a particular model as we will be incredibly busy at the show.

During the months of August and September we will be running a trial offering custom colours on tubes, hulls and consoles for our Ribeyes.  We have done various custom builds this year which can sometimes have what you could call a “marmite effect” with some of you loving it and some of you not!  The majority of people love the Ribeye look but there has been a strong demand for custom colours in recent months so we thought we would give you what you want.  What’s more, if you order your boat within this period, we can deliver it within 12 weeks which is pretty impressive for a custom build.  So tell us, how would you like your Ribeye?

What have we been up to?

Ribex, May 2011, Cowes, went really well for us this in year.  The show was quiet but we made a significant number of sales.  It was great to see lots of you turning up to the event in your Ribeyes – we really were dominating the pontoons at one point!

Try a Boat, June 2011, Dartmouth.  Although we had rather a wet weekend for the event, we talked to many happy customers and were able to get a good number on the water.

Motor Boating Monthly Choose the Ribeye 600

Motor Boat Monthly chose the Ribeye 600 to be the lead boat for their Cruising Club this year. The 2 week cruise started in Portsmouth, then onto to France and the Channel Islands and finishing in the West Country and it sounds like they had a whale of a time! The Cruising Club  chooses a RIB each year and the Ribeye definitely met all expectations, “The smallest support RIB we have ever used, the A600 performed like a far larger boat on its 70nm channel crossing, its deep vee hull making light of the sea conditions", Carl Richardson, Editor of Motor Boat Monthly.

Ribeye also provided a TL240 as a tender to all the crews and it was definitely kept busy.
